Matthew Davis



Matthew Davis is an up and coming choral conductor quickly making name for himself throughout Orange County. He graduated from the University of Southern California where he studied with Dr. Jo-Michael Scheibe, Dr. Cristian Grases, and Donald Brinegar. During his time at USC he sang with the USC Chamber Singers, Concert Choir, Apollo Men's Chorus, and Flos Campi, an early music ensemble. Since graduating from USC he has conducting multiple concerts as part of his time with the Esperanza Azteca Youth Orchestra and Choir, has sung at a regional ACDA Convention with the Donald Brinegar Singers, and sang and recorded an album with the choir at St. Wilfrid of York Episcopal Church in Huntington Beach. He is currently attending California State University Fullerton where he studies under Dr. Robert Istad and is pursuing a Masters Degree in Choral Conducting. Since beginning his studies at CSUF, he has sung with Kathleen Battle, Andrea Bocelli, and recorded an album with John Williams. He currently sings in the University Singers as they prepare for their international tour of the Baltic States in Summer of 2017. In addition to his studies, Matthew teaches voice and musicianship at Diamond Bar High School, co-conducts the Women's Choir at CSUF, and continues to sing with the choir at St. Wilfrid's.
